Integrating Cline

One of the most powerful AI coding extensions for VS Code, capable of autonomously completing complex programming tasks. It connects to Calgine Tokens via the OpenAI-compatible API.

Cline is a VS Code AI coding extension that can read and write files, run terminal commands, and drive a browser autonomously — handling complete programming tasks from requirements to implementation.

Prerequisites

1. Sign up at the Calgine Tokens Console.
2. Go to Workspace → API Tokens, click "Add Token", and copy the API Key after creation (starts with sk-).

Installation & Configuration

1. Install the Cline extension: search for Cline in the VS Code Marketplace, or visit VS Code Marketplace.
2. Open Cline settings: press Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + P, search for and select Cline: Open in New Tab, then click the Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner.
3. Fill in the API configuration:
   • API Provider: select OpenAI Compatible
   • Base URL: https://api.calgine.com.cn/v1
   • API Key: your Calgine Tokens API Key (sk-your-token)
   • Model: the model you want to use, e.g., gpt-4o or claude-opus-4-5-20251101
4. Click Save to save the configuration.

Verify the Setup

Back in the Cline panel, describe a simple task (e.g., "read the README in the current directory and summarize it"). If Cline analyzes and executes it normally, the setup is complete.

Note

Cline's agent mode reads/writes files and runs commands automatically. Use it only in trusted project directories and review each step carefully.

• When using claude-* models, you can also switch the API Provider to Anthropic with Base URL https://api.calgine.com.cn/anthropic
• Cline supports custom system prompts — you can configure project-level rules in settings
